ONEM: on the job training
The ONEM (Federal Employment Office) is in charge of the social insurance and the system of career breaks in Belgium.
Its National Training Center, along with the Knowledge Management department train more than 4000 people yearly. But the trip to Brussels is expensive and not environment-friendly. Hence the decision to migrate part of the training programme to an online self-paced on-the-job training where coaching is undertaken by local managers in the region departments.
This project focusses on technical and regulatory matters and transforms the ONEM virtual library into an online classroom with tests and interaction.
New employees at ONEM have to deal with a lot of forms to fill and how to implement the regulations into these forms. In consequence, the New Hired training concentrates on fill-in-the-form tests and activities. The pedagogical optimisation suggested a progressive approach: first detect errors in a filled form. Then complete a partly-filled form. And finally fill an empty form. The Dokeos Studio team, in partnership with Hanabi, helped defining the proper analysis and design of the course scenario.
